The O Mission Repo No Longer Available on Amazon

Dear Readers-

It is with great dismay at the current state of book distribution outlets in America that we regret to inform you: The O Mission Repo will no longer be available for purchase via Amazon. In addition to requiring that small publishers such as ourselves swallow all shipping costs and taking a 55% consignment slice of the cover price, Amazon has also begun charging an annual "membership" fee that has more than reduced our profit margins. In fact, it seems that, despite marking up the Amazon price by $4 per book, we are not exactly breaking even. In fact, WE are now paying THEM for the privilege of being listed on their Walmartian website.

But do not despair! We will continue to offer all remaining copies of The O Mission Repo, on our very own website for the reduced cover price of $12. That's a steal...in the good way.

What's the moral of this story? The next time you buy a book, please consider doing so directly from your friendly local small press or publisher.

Sincerely,

The Editors
Fact-Simile Editions

Have you seen Onnesha Roychoudhuri's article "Books After Amazon" in the last issue of the Boston Review (http://www.bostonreview.net/BR35.6/roychoudhuri.php)?

I referred my students to it so they would think twice about where they get their books from.

Good luck, guys!
